HUNDESTER TO RETURN TO MONACO YACHT SHOW

Equipment suppliers to the superyacht sector, Hundested Propeller and Ocean Marine Systems (OMS) are set to return to the Monaco Yacht Show 2024, in the same spot as last year, on stand DS9.
On show from Hundested Propeller is FR-ELH Controllable Pitch unit, a hydro-electric pitch control unit that is compact and designed to enable both electric propulsion and regeneration with the use of Controllable Pitch Propellers. It can be used for direct electric drive or with a standard reduction gearbox for sail and motor yachts.
OMS will display one of their latest retracting thrusters, featuring a new optional stainless-steel construction and super-efficient permanent magnet E-motor, plus some new hydraulic rams for sail controls.

There’s talk from Hundested about ongoing development when it comes to making propellers more efficient in regeneration. Also, come and learn from the tech team about the 9+ power modes on the Hundested CP Hybrid Marine Gear Boxes (aka Hybrid Power Conversion) and all the other benefits of using CP propulsion systems – both for sail and motor yachts.
Head of Design at OMS, Ben Green, will be on hand to talk through OMS’s new range of hydraulic cylinders and custom end fittings. Launching for 2025, the new cylinder end fittings offering sailors better & lighter ways to connect to soft strops, lashings and running lines.
